bet365 Announces Partnership With Cleveland Guardians
bet365 isn't just operating in Ohio – it's making an immediate impact.
One of the most renowned sports betting sites in the world has added to its ever-growing U.S. portfolio, announcing a partnership agreement earlier this week with the Cleveland Guardians.
"Everyone at bet365 is thrilled to partner with the Guards, as we launch the world’s favorite online sports betting brand in Ohio,” a bet365 spokesperson said in a statement. “The Guardians’ rich history is deep-rooted in the Cleveland community, and we’re excited to become part of their exciting future."
bet365's foray into the Ohio sports betting scene marks its third state launch, and comes on the heels of successful debuts in New Jersey and Colorado. Yet, while bet365 wasn't part of the initial wave of sports betting sites in those states, it was at the front of the line in Ohio, where it hopes to gain a meaningful market share right from the start.
"We’re very excited to work with bet365 as our exclusive mobile sports betting partner and welcome them to the State of Ohio," Guardians Vice President of Corporate and Premium Partnerships Ted Baugh said in a statement.
"There is a tremendous bond between our organization and bet365. With nearly 90 million customers registered worldwide, bet365 is one of the world’s leaders in online gambling and will provide our fans a trusted source to complement our organization’s success on and off the field."
The multi-year deal kicks off in earnest Jan. 21, when bet365 will appear at Guards Fest – the team's annual fan-driven winter kickoff to the upcoming season. Fans can pre-register here for exclusive access to the bet365 lounge, but must be 21+ to enter.
"We can’t wait to engage with Guards fans at Guards Fest," a bet365 spokesperson said. "The Guardians are an elite franchise, with a passionate and loyal fanbase, and we’re excited to create fan-focused activations that give back to the faithful Cleveland baseball fans."
It's a great time to be aligned with the Guardians, who won the American League Central title last year for the first time since 2018. In our latest MLB odds, bet365 has Cleveland as a +1500 option to win the AL pennant and +3000 to capture the World Series championship.
The partnership is also the latest in a series of major developments for bet365 in the U.S.
Earlier this week, the company revealed that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with Churchill Downs to offer mobile sports betting in Pennsylvania. And bet365 announced late in 2022 that it will offer New Jersey sports betting enthusiasts the first non-tournament esports competitive gaming products via a deal with SIS Limited.
