Agreed, it seems like a solid play. Should go at least 4 and then who knows.

I'm a bit of a Sijsling fan too, but not to beat Ferrer in 5.

        Maybe +2.5 sets?

You guys do know the scoreline from the one time they met right? It was grass, but Sjisling won one game in two sets. He would have to find another level on serve IMO to avoid Ferrer eating into his service games. Sjisling doesn't do anything that Kevin Anderson didn't do and Ferrer beat him fairly easily.

EP - This may not mean much, but Cipolla defeated sock convincingly the first time they faced.

I was just going to say the same thing mdfizzle.

The more I use h2h in my analysis, the more I realize it's really just not that valuable of information.

Different circumstances can obviously mean different things. The Cipolla-Sock first meeting was on a slower hard court which jives with Cipolla better but it also gave Sock a chance to learn his game. I just look over Sjisling's work on this surface and he is very much a Challenger level experience guy. Nothing to me indicates that he is going to challenge Ferrer outside of what I said - a Rosol like shot making match. Sure, it could happen + Ferrer could be off, but I think Ferrer does something similar to his 1st rounder.
