unreal how Fed is killing it on tour this year, owns Wimbledon grass (lost 3 times in last 10 years), just punked the same opponent a few wks ago... and you're all coming up w/ Murray (the guy who has lost every big match in his life in demolitions) .... "is going to win b/c Great Britian deserves and it's his destiny"... or whatever fallacious reasoning you can come up with
this has Fed prints all over it. and you get Fed over 5 sets.
17-7 in GS finals
vs Rafa? 6 losses = 1 Aussie, 1 Wimbly, 4 FO
so against anybody not named Nadal he is 16-1 in GSF's ... lolz
and he was up a set and a break on Delpo and was dominating in 2009 USO
oustide of the dirt he is 16-2 in GS finals.
best player of all time vs. a confirmed loser.
yep, let's go w/ Muggay

gut feeling?
why would you go w/ your gut feeling when it's based on nothing? Mug loses all the big matches, Fed wins them all (minus Nadal)
best player of all time vs. notorious loser Mug
it's like saying, "Lakers have lost first 3 to the Mavs in the playoffs and can't beat them. just getting destroyed. they can't win. all the numbers in favor of Dallas.... but, you know what, gut feeling here. Lakers win game 4."
they got killed in Game 4
It was the same in the Pistons/Lakers series years ago
the gold is right in front of your eyes and you turn around and say, "Nah, I think there's a bag of gold under that rock over there by that cave. this pile of gold in front of me... well, my gut feeling says it's under that rock over there"

17 grand slams vs. 0 grand slams
GOAT vs. GUTTER
I'd make my bet again, which was HC at near evens. Mug simply played better today. No doubt about it.
you know that every now and then square sides win. the Murray backing by fans was square logic "he deserves it, he's due, etc"
Murray came thru for once. that's all there is to it

Nothing square about betting Murray today, tennis is about form and if you had been watching Federer in this Olympics and typically his last match against DelPo, Murray was defintely the right side, especially at plus money.

lol
you say this after the fact. a million matches and you're bound to be right once .... even if you declared Mug beforehand
Fed has come into Nadal matches in absolutely incredible, mind-boggling form.... only to get his asshole absolutely annihilated and worked over.
in those such matches I would take Nadal over and over again. sometimes it's simply about matchups. and for the first time in his life Mug came up big in the final. first big win ever after years and years on the tour.
calling a pick on Fed on the HC at basically evens, which was my primary bet, throughout the course of history.... a dumb bet.... that is hardly the case
