Betting games in a match.

Hi all,

I'm new here.

Have been trying to bet on games of favorites during a match. I will only bet on odds between 1.20-1.25.

What I'm trying to do is this.
1) Start with $1.
2) Bet only 6 times a day. I realize that betting more games increases your chance of losing.
3) Do this for 7 days in a row without withdrawing profit.
4) This means I need to hit 42 winners in a row. Hard, but it's possible (I think) if I am selective.
5) If somewhere along the line I take a loss, I start again at $1.
6) IF I do hit 42 winners in a row, min profit is $2116, max profit is $11,754.
7) I can probably take out $10 after a certain time to give me buffer for a restart.

Tried it today after taking a huge loss on a random bet. Had a run of of 5 winners in a row, before I detracted from the plan and bet on a match winner (which I lost).

Can anyone help me to refine what I'm trying to do? Anyone tried this before?

Anybody here betting on games as well? Would love to hear your strategy.

A bit more than hard unfortunately. Even if you had a 5% edge on every one, that's 0.857^42 = 0.15%

If you have no edge, it's 0.02%

Got a 'loyalty bonus' from bet365 today. Must well just use it and try my plan. Okay, had a blip at the start, but used a 'safe' bet to cover back, after which I continued till I hit '6'. Stopped for the day. I know this can't be sustained if I try to cover back after every loss. It will only work at the start when the figure is small. Oh well, still exploring, still trying.

I will break down what HeeeHAWWWWW was saying:

If you bet a player with odds of 1.25 that implies he has an 80% chance of winning the match (since 1/1.25 =0.8)

Say you believe the true odds of him winning the match are 85% (that is 5% edge)

Then the probability that you win two bets in a row is 85% * 85% = 72.2%

Following on from that one can see that one can see that to win 42 in a row it would be 0.85^42

Going for lower odds will increase the likelihood of success, but the pay-out will of course be smaller. In the case of betting on odds of 1.1 with no edge it will be 1.8% chance of success.

Still, in terms of optimal betting strategy, it's not advisable to bet on anything unless you believe there is a positive expectation on the bet (i.e. you think the odds are wrong). And then there is pay roll management...
but it sounds like you just want to have some fun, good luck

Took a loss at the start. Damm it. So had to start all over again. Took what Cheven said and 'applied' them today. I went by how I felt the players were playing. Who was dominating at a particular time. So I went out of my 1.20-1.25 range. I will take a player to win their service game if he/she is dominating, hold serve well and breaking their opponent. Like Caitlin Whoriskey was on fire in the 2nd set so her odds at 1.61 seems like a worthwhile bet. Done for the day. Try again tomorrow!
