Seriously... I'm so tempted to go against him yet again. I don't know much about his opponent, but Donald can't even hang with anybody in the top 200 as of lately.
What're your thoughts on this?

I will probably look like a moron in a few hours, but I believe that tonight will be the night that Donald Young breaks his losing streak. I'd be insane to actually put money on him, though ... especially as a favorite.
It's Johnson or no bet on this one IMO. But let's not forget that Young did have a (somewhat) break-out summer and fall on the hard courts in 2011. If there is one surface on which he can get out of this rut, it's hard court.

I want to put against him soooo bad!!!
You're right though... i'm going to go against my impulse.
Because the one time I go against him, I'll probably lose. Also, I don't really know much about Johnson and this could be the game he comes back

Young can't beat this college student, he should retire

I don't have that much data on Johnson, but he seems like the sensible bet here (if there is one to be had).

I'm going for it. Johnson is an extremely talented player and Young is on a slide of (I think) 13 straight 1st Rd losses.
Nicole Gibbs and Mallory Burdette showed how NCAA talent can translate in the WTA.
If Young wins... well eff me for betting on the one time he does one, hahaha.
Well, wish me luck gentlemen.
Johnson over Young @ +175

I don't know a lot about tennis.. so is it common for players to just watch the ball go by instead of running and trying to hit it? Perhaps conserving their energy? It's just infuriating watching someone, ie. Johnson lose the advantage instead of lunging a step and hitting the ball.

I don't know a huge amount about tennis, but I sure hope Young keeps playing for a long long time to come.

Congrats Johnson backers. I knew I'd wind up sounding like a moron for saying Young would break the losing streak tonight, but at least I knew well enough to suggest Johnson or no bet.
Donald Young ... Do yourself and the sport of tennis a favor and go play exclusively on the challenger circuit for a while

Woo finally. Sock/Johnson parlay cashed. If only Bertens had won too.

Young needs to go there for a while and build his confidence up IMO.
And congrats everyone who took Johnson, and congrats AraiWa on your 11+ unit profit

It definitely helps. Now I'm on B. Baker and Mahut in 2 sets.
Young, please keep playing AND LOSING. It's always nice to make money off a guy, winning or losing. I like Hajek and Errani as well, both have been good picks for me.

I don't want him to play challenger matches because he might win one every now and than. Stick to playing ATP so it's a guaranteed loss.
