    Could ESPN oversell it more?
Any time one of the top guys loses the 1st set. "A top seed is in TROUBLE." It is one set in a best of 5 you drama queers. Did it with Tsonga yesterday and he rolled three straight. Today Djokovic ....

They probably do it because most of the viewers get excited and think an upset is about to happen, and they just wanna generate excitement and attention by convincing them that a top seed is 'about to go down'

I don't think any of the main analysts thought Djokovic was in trouble. Maybe they said it for the above reasons Sportfish says. There's guys on SBR that start celebrating after their guy is up 3-1 in the first set.

In basketball, people on SBR celebrate with their team up 7 with 10 minutes left. Roxxyfish starts dancing and calls his bet a winner.

They might as well have that dumb shit scroller they have during college football that has UPSET ALERT scroll on the bottom when a ranked team is either down in the 1st Q or maybe tied in the 3rd. Stupid ass shit, but I guess I don't expect anything less from these clowns.

Our society has an increasingly short attention span, so we need flashing lights, upset alerts and dramatizations

ESPN ruins just about anything they touch.
When Wimbledon was on CBS we used to get much better coverage !!!!
We knew more about other matches, we had a DAMN SCHEDULE
and we had real commentary. Now, they just switch from one match to
another and don't even talk about the frikkin tournament
ESPN makes internet use mandatory to even follow WTF is going on.

ESPN only wants to talk /show NBA and NFL.
Hockey doesn't even exist to them because they don't have the
contract, so they don't even cover it.
              Baseball is an afterthought.
They'd rather talk about NBA/NFL even in offseason than
actual sporting events which are happening
the problem is at the top - Disney Corporation.

the thing i hate the most is when they have a great 5 setter going on like the finish with falla yesterday but they want to show the beginning of andy murray instead. Even worse is when they would rather sit inside and talk and discuss old shit when you have matches going on, I want to watch tennis not 3 people talking about how great jimmy conners was
