How do they pick center(centre) court matches?

With all the rain coming in next couple of days center court might be about the only matches you can watch clean through.

Murray I understand (home crowd), but I dont care to see Serena destroy czink or nadal take out rosol. So many better matches out there to stick on center court. The big names will still be there in a couple rounds you can see them then.

I believe it goes back to the days of the gladiators.
Something about feeding the weak to the Lions,
before a large audience.

Well since 90% of the attendants are the average tennis joe public, who only know and want to see the big names play, i'd say the organizers strive to put these guys in as much as possible...rather than try and pick out 'good matches'

They select the matches that have the highest probability of filling out the bleachers.
Obviously English players draw well, then the top 5-10 in the world.

I don't think you can complain about them putting Nadal or Federer on Centre Court this year.
