Wawrinka - although an inconsistent mess at times - is superior on red clay. Don't totally discount the Madrid results, but remember that blue shit played closer to a hard court than this sort of clay - so it suited Tipsarevic's game. If you look at their track records on clay otherwise, you'll see Wawrinka is the most consistent winner. Doesn't mean Tipsarevic won't have a chance, but this slower stuff won't help his power game.
