Very appropriate clip! I know I sound like just the latest Johnny come lately that got burned chasing losses playing tennis and laying chalk, but, well ok I am.
I have been betting daily for 5 years. My best run came in the fall / winter 2011 where I cashed out 14 straight weeks with my local, netting over 500 units in the process. For whatever reason, for months the books at halftime of football and baskets matches were juicing the winning sides at -105, even, or +105 instead of the typical -110. In the setting of pregame RLM, this pattern was nearly perfect in its ability to predicting a winning 2h side. Eventually, the books changed this, and the run ended. I have lost money since then, mainly due to tennis betting. I love tennis betting- the dopamine you get from hanging on every point cannot be replicated elsewhere. Unfortunately, I have hit rock bottom now.
Last week I went down over 85 units playing/ chasing tennis bets. After resetting my account with my local, I managed to claw back on baseball and NBA, and after Lakers moneyline cashed Sunday night I had recovered the entire 85 units back. I considered that at the time to be one of the greatest betting feats I'd ever accomplished (I settle all action with my local as of midnight Sunday).
However, two days later, I am down 40 units after unsuccessfully betting then doubling 5 losing tennis plays today. I look at very knowledgable cappers on this board, and they all seem to lose over time. So I have to quit. Not a Johnny come lately, but a survival decision!
