Hey swiss. One reason I know WHY Baghdatis is playing in Dallas is because his Brother lives here in Houston, met him a few times. So if he IS playing the Dallas Challanger, he is prob here visiting his brother and their family I would think. Troicki playing a Challanger??? Weird!! The only thing I can think of is that he wants to win some matches and he thinks he can win this tment and notch 5 or 6 wins under his belt, give him some confidence I guess. I wouldn't think a player of his caliber would do that, but he has been struggling to win matches lately. Hope this helps explain why "I" think they would be in my great state of Texas.Comment -

I am not 100% sure on the US Open qualifying, I think you have to start with your city area or state first & qualify or win that. Then you move on to a regional level of qualifying probably. Then onto a national level, and I think this is when we see those final qualifying matches for the average dude to try to make his dream come true. If you ask a pro at a tennis club or facility, they should know. I have not been teaching at a club for 2 years now, so I don't really get all the info like I used to when I worked at country clubs or tennis clubs. Being on your own you keep most of the money, but it is a bit lonely, it's not like the club atmosphere (wish I did like very much).
I am not sure about the Future's circuit. Google it & maybe call someone if you can find a number to get more general info. Do you just sign up based on NTRP rating??? Do you qualify based on a state ranking??? I have heard of some younger kids playing Futures & they were juniors, so???? Maybe its a sign up & you have to be rated or ranked (juniors) at a certain level?? I am rated a 5.0 by the USTA. That is why I play the USTA Texas Section, tments all over Texas (around 7-8 major zones a year spread out). I get off to the tment format BIGTIME! It pushes you SO hard bec you can play 6 to 7 matches in 3 days! AND the level of competition goes up dramatically when you make the quarters, semis or finals! I don't play league, I don't have the time on the week nights. Look at tments for your section, I'm assuming you are in US??? If you are not, then I have NO clue what you can do....
And YES, I love playing tennis after I watch it. Gets me even MORE fired up!!! Tennis is my life man. I have been teaching it for 14 years, I watch it all the time, and I try my best to kick AZZ in the 4.5 or 5.0 rated tments! Have fun hitting today man & watching the match. VAMOS!!!Comment -

Not a big write up, match should start in about 30 mins or so. I didn't want to over analyze this match, Nadal has not been playing his greatest. He is playing good! But Fed helped him win that match BIG time. Nadal will fight hard today & give everything he has and WILL be tough to beat. On the other side of the coin, Del Potro is on a tear. He is playing great tennis, serving so confidently, and he has every chance to win today actually. He WILL think he can win this match. He will give everything he has & he will be tough today for Nadal to beat without question. I think this match can go either way & would not surprise me to go three either. I am going with the hot player, getting over 2 games and hope that he wins or goes three, that would be a promising effort IMO. BOL in whichever side you play, gl to ev1!Comment -
I hate when a player looks SOOOO good for the entire week, beats the BEST players in the world, you finally have some faith in them against the top warriors & then they step into the final and look like fukking crap!
