    Who says american tennis is dead?
    We just put the beat down on the Swiss 3-0! Great job Fish and Bryan!! Did not bet a dime on the matches but actually proud today of being an american tennis fan!!!

      Roddick didn't play which might be a good thing. Hopefully Harrison keeps developing good too.

        They need a lot of development quick though, that is the problem. Fish is 30. Isner is a good piece for the team. Harrison has never played a DC match yet, so his development would be key. I'm still not sold on him personally, but he's very young so lots of time to enhance his game. They also desperately need to find some doubles help. Bryans are 33, I think and while they may play for a long time still since doubles isn't quite as taxing as singles - there is no one I have seen for the US that even comes close to being prepared for doubles.

        Jack Sock may well be the key to the Davis Cup future of the US since he's shown some chops in doubles already.
