Help: Federer vs Nadal Game Spread?

Does anyone know how the game spread for tennis works? I've never really bet tennis except on moneylines and I'm very confused on how it works. The line is Federer -3 -105 Nadal +3 -125.

Does this mean if Federer wins the 1st set 6-4, he is covering 2 games? Lol I'm so confused, cus if thats the case who would ever bet the moneyline.

yes, if Federer wins the 1st set 6-4, then he is covering two games, so you're technically 1 behind at that point for a push.

say he wins the second sit again 6-4. then you're up a point

If you take Nadal +3 then when the match completes add up each players games won and add 3 for Nadal. If that number is greater than the number of games Federer wins you win the spread.

Ok, I see. So if Federer happened to lose one set 6-1 and won three 6-4 6-4 6-4, I would still lose if I bet Federer -3. Thanks for clearing that up. I guess its really not that confusing! But it still seems really stupid to me to take the Federer moneyline in this case.
