    Robredo/Djokovic: Tuesday 4th Round
    Robredo +525

I need someone to talk me out of taking Robredo tomorrow! I keep looking for a reason not to go a half-unit on him, but I can't find one. Djokovic looked very ordinary vs. Cilic - some of it Cilic's doing. I really think a more experienced opponent would have beaten him last night.

You can make a case that Robredo has had "the luck of the draw" fall his way. Going against mental midget Safin & then Tsonga who clearly isn't quite in match shape yet. He won't out serve Djokovic like Cilic did, but Robredo has the kind of return game that could frustrate the #3 seed who at time has looked very frustrated with his game in this tourney - yet not pushed too hard other than Cilic and a set vs. Kendrick.

    Still..... is the price right?

He's a different player compared to Robredo and looking at the recent results on hard of both players, Djoko has beaten better players.

Cilic couldn't have played any better in last night match but Djokovic gradually ground him down.

Robredo on the other hand was extremely erratic with his forehand and to be honest hasn't looked comfortable so far this tournament.

I'm pretty confident that Djoko will win, he is one of the fitter players playing on tour at the moment

I thought Cilic played well, but he also blew several opportunities to break Djokovic that could have won him another set. Probably just gonna leave this alone, but I think Robredo at least takes a set.

I don't think Tommy has a chance. Novak wins 3-0, Under 36 games.

Robredo will be blown off-court.Novak has beaten him on three different surfaces including clay which is Robredo's specialty. He dose not have the weapons or serve to win here, period.

            Stats

Another reason not to take Tommy.

Looking at the stats for the '08 season we see that about the only one that Robredo beats Djok in is 1st serve percentage. The fact that Djok has a better 1st serve points won despite this is instructive. In addition to bald statistics the caliber of player against who these stats were accumulated is much higher in Djok's case, mostly majors and masters series.

            Just my $.02

Robredo just broke Djoke. 5-4 in the 1st, ROBREDO. Looks like he might take the 1st set.

Robredo wins 6-4 in the 1st. Let's see if that wakes Djokovic up. He's still sleepwalking in this tourney. He's losing sooner or later with the way he's playing.

Watching on cable sports. Commentary there thinks djoko put up a *little* drama, but....

as some many Betfair bettors said, Djoko just made his 3-0 layer family friend rich... that's about it

I'm wondering if maybe he just doesn't get up for anyone who's not in the Top 10. That's kind of what it seems like. That he just isn't excited to be playing some of these guys.

Kinda wish I would have taken a piece of this, but still a set to go. I knew Djokovic wasn't going to dominate. Kind of hope he chokes.

Djokovic survives in 5, winning 6-2 in the 5th. Depending on what Roddick or Gonzo does tonight - if they can finish off in 4 or less, I'm on that guy vs. Djokovic.
