    dlweaver's let's talk australian open
    Tuesday, January 17th, 2012 Today's thoughts:

Tomic just played 5 sets BUT he is the up and comer, Querrey is the old man, Tomic has the home crowd and everything to play for. He is only 19 years old, he can overcome fatigue, and grind it out. I think he is a STRONG play in this spot on the moneyline. Anyone agree?

Azarenka will crush any hopes that Delacqua has of actually making it thru.

Rochus at +8.5 looks appetizing. I think he can hang around but can he do ANYTHING with berdych's serve and how much does he have left?

Isner as an underdog? +110 at the moment looks like a play over Nalbandian who is not in great form.

Baghdatis has looked rough the last week or so and didn't show too much in the opening round. Thank Wawrinka grinds out a 4-5 set victory here.

    Del Potro wins easily.

I think Dolgopolov recovers from his 1st round scare.... anyone got any thoughts on this? He scares me BUT he can be great and then awful at the same time.

    Fish wins easily.

This Dimitrov and Almagro match is a weird one. Almagro is highly ranked but unsure of himself at the moment and thus barely favored. Dimitrov is on the rise but hasn't been in big matches very often. Can he overcome against a top seed?

    Kohlshcreiber wins easily.

Karlovic's serve will prove too much for Berlocq. Berlocq is NOT very good on hard courts and Karlovic thrives on these. It will be WARM but Karlovic can make his service games quick and easy I think.

Please comment on these and give me feedback. I will be making plays around 5-6pm eastern tonight and posting them then.

    Good luck tonight everyone!

Yea I think Tomic will win most likely, I don't like Querrey at all right now. I think he is going to get much better later coming back from his injury but not right now.

I agree with Wawrinka a lot, I think he might be able to grind that one out
