betting on nonfavourites on match-ups

Has anyone made some statistic.If u make match up bets on nonfavoiurite players first rd or 2-d rd?
How many seed players have to fail to get some profit?
As i remember each slam has few suprises

I used to play the whole board of dogs....I think it was pretty much break even.....except the year before last french open....where I thought dogs would win more....actually almost every fav won....but usually its like give or take 5 units when you put a unit on every dog.
I think more dogs will win this year. alot of players seem out of sort after the break.
