What's everyone's take on Roddick-Gulbis tonight? Alot of people seem to think Gulbis is going to win this possibly. I think Roddick's experience for night matches at the US Open prevails here. 4 or 5 sets.

I took Gulbis. +225 is too high for him, and Roddick is piss poor at best.

To be honest, I was expecting Gulbis to be the favourite here.

I like Roddick, but his game is his serve. He'll have to show he can return just "OK" against these guys to win. No more Santoro to punk around. Davenport needs this rain delay. She looks sluggish.

Fact of the matter is, Roddick shouldn't be a seed.

Seeds are based alot on their ATP points & Roddick racked up a ton of points early in the year by winning a couple hard court events. Ranked 8th in the world, he's going to be seeded. To think otherwise, is insane.

He hasn't had that bad of a season, most people are just basing it on his Wimbledon disaster in the 2nd round. He hasn't played that much tennis this summer into the fall. He definitely earned a seed though & I was mistaken, it's #8.

Davenport is toast probably in this 1st set, but maybe she can sort some shit out in the locker room. I didn't watch all the games in the set, but she didn't seem to be moving all that fantastically.
