Kanepi to win AO

Prefer Kvitova or maybe sharapova if she come out prepared for new season. Azaraenka really improved at the second half of last season so i think she may have a good chance. Kanepi is not strong enough imo.

Useless to wonder IMO until you see the draw. Just my own take on things, but I don't understand why people get so gung ho on jumping on futures before seeing draws. Especially WTA where you've got a lot of interchangeable parts as far as "ranked" players who can be dangerous. Kanepi's got a bad track record in Melbourne, but we've seen that she can make a run at a Slam. Winning? I don't think she's a complete enough player to win seven matches in a row especially if she has to face some of the top tier WTA players. Doesn't mean the future is worthless if you can find a good spot to trade out on it.

No way you can predict AO winners based on the players performance in the first 1-2 tournaments of the year. I dont think Kanepi will even last untill the QF at the AO.

I thought about putting some money on it when price was +4400 but then decided to wait and see how she plays in Brisbane final... and after that price went down to +2100. Not worth it anymore

That's a massive over reaction to someone winning a tournament too. I remember when Fish won a couple tournaments in the summer last year. His odds plummeted for the US Open. He didn't make the QFs.

So not easy draw. Jankovic will be easest one i guess

why not, she seems to have nice draw, exept Williams in 4-rd. But when Williams quits then, its free to go final.

I was thinking same thing. AO homepage says that "The main draw will be released on friday, 13 january 2012"

Well the draw is defenitly not till friday... and the only thing for sure is that wozniacki can play kvitova only in finals...other than that anything can happen. But still, I see at least 20 players who can defet her
