    why are mens tourneys 5 sets?
    i'm a tennis novice-so i got a lot to learn
    i noticed in the big tourneys the mens matches are best of 5
    any reason?

          Also, it's only 5 sets in the MAJORS: Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open. Otherwise, men go three sets as well.

              I'd prefer men going best of 3 always myself.
