Because Stoppini is a nobody? He's got some wins on hard court, but all at lower tier events vs. lower tier players. Malisse might be a good shot at +200 to catch Moya with a bit of fatigue/letdown perhaps? Safin might be the best play, but -175 ... that's about as high a price as I can go on tennis.

Safin is the best play ... but at -165 not worth it.

Kunitsyn is also not that GREAT of a player ... but at -205 I cant see this being an obvious win for him.

Tier II events can be tough to predict, I would not lay much especially this week and I actually like betting favorites in tennis. A few will let you down, but most times especially in later rounds of tourneys you have the best of it.

True, the minute I start betting dogs watch the favorites just bury everyone. I mean, not like I'm taking every favorite under the sun, but if I see one I think has value I'll take it. Prime example, Federer -450 versus Karlovic? I'd take that 99/100.

I'd rather risk 4.5u to win 1 on a game I think is solid in tennis than take my chances with a mini longshot, but I do need to make sure I'm being very picky during this cold run.
