#250-50 to start. 1st set tells the story for the long haul. If Tsonga gets Federer first, Federer may go into shutdown mode and have trouble getting back into the match depending on how the set is lost. Tsonga definitely has less pressure on him and has shown the ability to rally from down at any point in matches. Serves should be huge. Both have big serves, but both can lose focus. Also watch strategy. Most try to work Federer's backhand which is the weaker ground stroke, but Tsonga's can also be error prone.
I don't think Federer has been pushed yet, so it will be interesting to see how he reacts if that happens. That has not been his strong suit in the last few years since his decline began.Comment -

#7I definitely do not see Federer at over -250 as a solid bet because you just don't know what version of Federer is going to show up. Honestly, this line should be more like -200 Fed at best IMO.Comment -

#10Careful. Fed has shown the tendency to not match up well with hard, flat hitters. (Berdych, Tsonga, Delpo, etc.) He SHOULD win, but the price leaves much to be desiredComment -

#11Which match you basing that on? All or just Monaco? The Monaco match is not anything I think that is useful to base tonight's match on. Monaco froze in the spotlight, plain and simple and Fed did play well, but he didn't have to work hard to look good there. The Cilic match, he showed his inconsistencies again even in beating Cilic fairly routinely in 4 there were some moments where a better player i.e. Tsonga likely would have made Fed pay and Fed would have been playing from behind. Fed has not been tested for the most part whereas Tsonga has and passed with flying colors. We'll see how it goes. Sentimentally, I hope Federer wins as I'd like to see him make a run here. This match goes a long way in showing his actual chances to win it all or not IMO.Comment -

#18Disagree totally. Federer doesn't ever "not try" ... if you think otherwise, get your head checked my man. He's just at a point where his consistency and focus during a match isn't what it used to be. That's why you see things like what happened at Wimbledon. Seems like Federer can cruise and get a lead, but whereas he used to put his foot on the throat of an opponent - he seems to fall into the trap of relaxing and losing focus.Comment -

#31Well once again, the hype failing to live up to reality. Tsonga must have prepped with Donald Young today. Looks like he is just going to try to hit his way out of whatever funk he is in. Only plus for him is Federer really isn't playing an A level game. Boring match to this point. Don't know if anything is going to ignite Tsonga tonight, he looks like he doesn't want to be there.Comment -
