Not really impressed with delpo in the last match. Simon has a chance for sure.

#2If somehow you could forget that last set, Del Potro has been relentless. It's like psychologically he believes he's the actual defending champion, since he missed out last year due to injury.Comment -

#5that last set was big though...he looked worn out against Junquiera which doesn't translate to Simon well...Simon will make him rally even longer and while the upset might not happen the handicap might be a good option.Comment -

#7I think this will be the match where you can accurately gauge Del Potro's chances for this tournament. Whipping Volandri and Junqueira just mean that he wasn't high or drunk on the court so far. Simon is definitely a tricky match-up here as he showed in their match at Wimbledon. If Simon played better in the tie breaks, that match easily could have either gone his way or dragged on for 4-5 sets. As it was, DelPo did what he needed to do to win a tight one. I think the Simon handicap is probably something to look at.Comment -

#8I think this drags on quite a bit and would look into the over. The two guys match up really well, as they did in Wimbledon, and the courts playing slightly slower will keep Simon in a lot of points he'd be down on a faster court. Should be a tough and hard fought match, if first-round Simon doesn't show up.Comment -

#9Beating Volandri means nothing - he never wins against anybody on hard court, and clearly sold the under/handicap/setbetting too.
Junqueira has nothing more to offer on hard either.
These two are basically byes for any top50.Comment -

#10Simon looked solid in the key moments against GGL but doesnt he have all types of minor injuries. He's got some back problems I keep hearing and I turned on the match yesterday and hes getting his big toe on his left foot taped in the 3rd set. Idk if this means anything, but hes been pushed in both of his matches. I don't really think he can win this.
Isner though looks prime for the upset of JMDP?Comment -

#11I wasn't impressed with Del Potro either. However, how the fukk can you be impressed with Simon so far? Del Potro is a former champion here and I would expect him to get it done.Comment -
