Tell me why I shouldn't pound this one. Absolutely love Berdych in this matchup. I see him sticking around at the U.S Open for a few more matches. Tipsarevic has a lead in their head to head hence the line here. Tipsarevic has beaten Berdych couple times, but never on outdoors surface which is significant. Both are good on serve but if we compare the return games, then Berdych certainly is better than the Serbian. Berydch takes this match with relative ease and brings there head to head closer to even and advances.

Berdych is doing good this tourney, but that Tipsarević result in Montréal plus the Davis Cup win last September. Berdych will be looking for retribution here. I'd mostly eye the over in games and perhaps the Tipsarević spread, because I wouldn't be too ready to count Berdych out just yet.Comment -

Gotta be his shoulder again to be looking this poor. Seemed like Berdych was priced a little high though considering his retirement a few weeks ago with what sounded like some major pain in his shoulder ... but I suppose the books thought he was fine after two matches this week.Comment -
