Maybe your wrong for betting on a guy who hadn't played tennis in a while and when he did It was on clay vs a guy who is confident after winning two tournaments in a row. And Istomin went to the finals in this tourney a year ago he's no slouch.

he is. he'd just be sloppy and inconsistent towards the beginning of this year. he is on fire now and back to his winning ways of 2 years ago.

It's not that I'm blowing it out of proportion. It's just the fact I've seen this Bachinger guy blow far superior guys then Istomin out, and he was doing just that in the first set of this match up 5-2 then goes on to lose 5 consecutive games. To me, that's called being a 'slouch'...fukkin bum who doesn't even care. He could have closed it out and in the 2nd set he hasn't done shit... Istomin up 5-0. Yeah, Bachinger is a loser. I still would never put $$ on Istomin either.

im not sure why the OP stated that bachinger is worlds above istomin in skill, i'd pit them pretty damn equal, with the advantage going to istomin on his serve, bachinger was worth a shot, but 5-2 on serve wasn't a huge choke job. hold, break, hold is all it took for istomin to tie the score

Thank you. Calling in the fix is a little premature in a match between two Challenger series guys that was up one measly break. Bachinger just doesn't have it together mentally with consistency, and it's tough to bet on a guy like that. That said, I certainly thought he'd win despite Istomin's 'strong' play lately, because as you said: who did he beat?
