I stay away from these matchups because they are about as good as a 50/50 toss of a coin. It can really go either way..It's like trying to handicap Radek Stepanek/John Isner..Both players are so evenly matched up it's almost impossible to feel confident going with 1 clear cut side.

Instead of even taking picks like these, I take the obvious ones in a parlay and still walk away with the same amount as if I just risked it on a singles bet.

Andy Murray over Alex Bogomolov Jr (Murray hates to lose and he won't here)
Rafael Nadal Over Fernando Verdasco (Same reason as Djokovic)
Maria Sharapova Over Svetlana Kuznetsova
Nadal Djokovik over Radek Stepanek (I don't give a fuk if he's -2500 or whatever the fuk it is, the guy does NOT lose... he's an automatic win for a 4 team parlay).

i make large chalk parlays too though i have a few golden rules to live by...no more juice than -400 on a woman's match, never bet on a player on his/her first match back after an injury, etc.

I wouldn't have been surprised whichever guy had won today. However, Berdych winning so decisively was surprising.
