I'm looking at this and this play looks like it has a lot of value. Malisse has had a bad summer so far and he failed to defend a ton of points but to be fair he lost to Harrison and Gulbis in 3 tight sets and both are in very very good form this summer. He retired against Russell with a right arm injury but it was definitely not too big of a deal, he did play doubles the next day and that shouldnt be a factor here.
Anderson's line is bloated because he took out Murray but he isn't at his best on these very fast tracks. Sure his serve will have a massive advantage, but the rest of his game takes a hit because he likes to set his shots, thats why he had mostly good results on clay.
On top of this, Malisse has good results against these big serves, 2-0 against Isner, 1-0 againstAnderson, 1-1 against Karlovic
He hits a really flat ball and should get a lot of returns at Anderson's feet. The baseline rallies should be in his favor, and his serve can get big at time if he hits a rhythm. I just think he has the edge here.
Thoughts?
