New tennis bettors please please please don't tail this guy. He is advocating chasing his loses all on heavy chalk. If you follow him you will make a little bit of money, but a day will come when 2-3 of his picks lose in a row and you will have NOTHING. Bet consistently each match and if you're a good capper you will make money.

I think what most are asking is that you give weight to your plays and let the bettor know how strong your feeling is on each play. This is where you would rate them, 1 UNIT, 2 UNIT, 3 UNIT, etc...
Otherwise each poster will assume that you bet 1 UNIT on each play and based on the odds you are betting on, your plays will turn out to be busts. The UNIT strength adds credibility to you so that you can prove you success. Posters like EP and Shari don't provide UNIT strength (well actually Shari does in her spreadsheet) because they give you plays that are close to even money or outright underdogs.Comment -

He just likes the way his record looks when he says he went 8-2...but forgot to mention his 2 losses were -200 and -300, and last I checked that would take away a decent chunk of your profits from the 8 wins.Comment -

All his pick are -120 or better. Therefore they do not need a strength rating on them because you can assume they are 1 UNIT plays. So we know by looking at his picks that if he is right more than 55% of the time he makes money. With your picks you will need 75% or better to make any profit, but all you divulge is your win loss record which is deceiving even if it is not your intent.Comment -
It's not decieving because I tell who I bet on and am honest on my win loss ratio. If people don't know how to manage there money in betting than they shouldn't do it. I don't need to hold there hand while they bet. I post my picks and why I feel they will win. I also post my line. There is nothing wrong with my picks thread because it's what I post in it. Ok Demonata..........don't post how many UNITS if you dont want to. But in the end, if you end up with a WIN:LOSS result like 50:20, dont be too happy; cuz you probably just broke even or worse. Playing -300 favorites, you better have a Win:Loss ratio like 60:20 or better.Comment -

It's not a matter of tailing your picks, people here on tennis subforum just dont like new bettors come in and be deceived by your PROUD records and experience of FOUR years betting and PROFITABLE and start tailing you blindly.
Well, at least this way with few comments every single page pointing your problems, new tennis handicappers will realize it

So would guys rather me make a new thread and only put the bets I do that are under -200? Give me suggestions guys but don't outright tell people to leave, sorry that just pissed me off. I think I'm going to delete this thread or something and in my new ones just post my picks under -200. I see your points and they do seem logical. Sorry I was just mad at how many of you were outright saying for people not to follow my picks. So this thread is ruined now but in my next one I will only post when I'm betting -150 etc.
Sound good? Sorry for getting all mad guys it's just I do a lot of research and have been betting for 4 years now and pick a lot of winners and was getting all these negative comments. I get what you are saying though. I will only post winners that are under -200 and not -300 etc haha. So new users that don't manage there money well can still figure it out on the under -200s.

This is just my first time posting a thread about my picks and I admit I didn't really look at others to see a good way to do it. Here's one thing that might help me make a better tennis thread. WHAT IS A UNIT? You guys keep telling me to tell how many units etc but I have no idea what a unit is? Thanks

a unit is whatever you want it to be it is a defined amount of money..
for example
start off with a bankroll of £100, people tend to use 2% of their bankroll for a unit but you can use whatever you want so if you had a bankroll of £100 and wanted a unit to represent 2% you would have 50 units @£2 per unitComment -

You'd record the record as
1-0 +1 unit.
