Gulbis is too good to lose all the time...if he could ever keep his head on straight.

Exactly, this guy could be a great player if his motivation could last longer than a week.. Or at least if he could stay somewhat consistent in his game. I bet on him a few times in the past and got buried when he was a favorite, the guy looked like he didn't want to win, or he didn't even want to be there..
But I haven't watched any of his games this week, I hope he can repoduce this at the US Open

a good win for him and although i only watched 1st set (maybe someone can tell me bout this for whole match?), he has normal body language although he DF at set point which is good sign compared to gulbis version 2010 who would (90% chance) throw the racket and shout some stupid words.
i'm still need more proof from him though that now he's not that spoiled rich kid that play tennis only because his family is sport family

Yah...even with the win I wouldn't be likely to pick him for anything unless he is a decent priced dog.
