I would say NO. It will probably hit but you will be laying huge juice to win pennies on the dollar. My philosophy in tennis is to pick spots and grind out a profit by betting on dogs and slight faves or parlaying 2-3 max at + money. Notice I made this thread a few days ago and have not even put a wager down. That's because I am picking spots and not in it just for the action. Check out my Wimbledon thread to see how I bet. ..

its not stupid but the juice will still be pretty high. the top men are pretty safe to parlay in round 1.

Its worth noting no top 20 seed lost in the first round of australian or wimbledon ( 3 lost at french but that is just a totally different tournament where rankings are not always indicative of skill on the surface)

Heavy favs do quite well in Wimbledon R1 generally, but not really on hard courts - it's about breakeven if you bet them all.

I know you're not asking me but figured I would respond since I'm looking over shit and want to talk some tennis. I usually only play dogs in tennis but I'm having a tough time tonight trying to figure out which one of the 3 WTA dogs pull it out today, usually can find at least one.... I guess the strongest of the 3 in my mind today would be Hercog. I don't really trust AMG either at this high of a price but not sure if her opponent can play at that high of a level for 2 maybe 3 sets. As for Zako, who the heck knows what to expect from her.. she could win a tournament one day and be out in the first round next.

Yeah, I got a bad price on AMG. It happens. In fact, at the time I placed the wager -170 was a good line as 5Dimes had it at -185. Looks like some big bets came in on the youngster Irina Camelia Begu. I thought the experience of the Spaniard would prevail in the end but it was for naught.

-170 is still slight fave territory for me in tennis considering you see lines upwards of -1000 in this sport. I think anything 1.5 or more in this sport is still a slight favorite.
