I think Lisicky with her 124 mph serve is a better play here...

I put something on Lisicki to win (+4000) and to reach semis (+1000) so I'm not going to change my mind now.
Now that she's healthy she's a serious threat to go all the way.

Lisicki has a good chance, but not a match with any betting value imo.

I did a small hedge to cover the wager, but I'm gna let the rest ride. I like her chances.
I'm doing much better this major than I did at the French. Betting against the Williams sisters did some nice damage today. There's a lot more value on the woman's side than the men's.
They are also more fun to watch.

I agree because women don't win so many points on their serve. They break a lot more often.Player that plays better tennis wins more often than not.Where as in Men's a player that does not play that great, but has a great serve can hold his serve, break couple of times and win...
As for hedging out...you should definitely do it. You hedge half of your bet at +1000..If she loses you win...if she wins...You hedge the half of +4000...It's a no brainer. If you don't do it and she loses today to Bartoli, you will be kicking yourself for a long, long time.. Either way it was a great picks you made with Lisicky..Good luck to you tomorrow what ever you decide to do....

bobbyk, I'm in the same boat as you. Have Lisicki at $41, hedged out a tiny bit yesterday and now I'm sitting here looking at Bartoli. Bartoli's a quack but she's playing as strong as she used to so she's a big worry. Have no f'n clue yet what I'm going to do. Heart says let it ride and hope Lisicki takes the nutter out. Head says hedge the hell out of it because getting a good price on Bartoli at this point is almost a gift. Yuck.

Hedging is an inexact science. In my experience, hedging usually results in throwing away a lot of free profit. Unless we are talking about copious amounts of $$$, I'd rather let it ride and hedge a smaller amount (say 20-30% tops). If you are any good with your picks, the original bets are going to come through more times than not.
I'm sticking with Lisicki. Bartoli already gave me a nice slice of the pie today when I split bet +300 straight, +600 win in 2-0 sets, and +800 win in 2-1 sets. Tennis hands out absurd amounts of free $$ at times. It almost feels like stealing. No way should the Williams sisters should have been as big of favorites today.
Pironkova had already beaten Venus a couple times previous and has been playing well and Bartoli has been playing a much higher brand of tennis in recent months going in against a still rusty Serena.

Wow...I wish I had one of those books that offered those odds...
Faking Bookmaker didn't even have spreads before QF. Only straight winners.
Pathetic..That's what you get for living in the US....It's a shame.

Bartoli for me, she was really determined against Williams. She looked like she wanted to win.

Tennis is hit or miss depending what book you use. Better to have a few so you can line shop and pick bets options.

All we have in US is 1/10 of what you guys can do outside. Book we use are garbage compared to the options you have at Pinny, bet365 etd. We don't even have Live tennins...

I thought about this game a lot, couldn`t find a way out. What I feel like is, whoever gets the first set, going to dominate the second one... so I`m going for the under 23.5

Looked a bit dicey when she choked in the 2nd set, but shows a lot that she bounced back in 3rd. Bartoli wasn't in the same league today.
Lookin' forward to see what she can do vs Sharapova
