Nadal will win this easily. Del Potro's ground strokes don't have that velocity on hard court that makes him so formidable. Nadal will take over

Is grass usually this slow? I thought JMDP had a shot today. He usually whips Nadal's balls all over the court. Yet, today, there's been plenty of rallies where JMDP had a shot at a winner and he didn't hit it nearly hard enough to pass

It's del Potro and I have several bets on him, including live.

              pinnacle has Mon 6/275001R. Nadal

              -237

              09:15 AM5002J.M. Del Potro

              +198

but 5 dimes gave me +363

maybe pinnacle considers it action with retirement.

              5 dimes requires completion

                  Wimbledon, yes.

Nadal much better defender on grass than hard too, he likes natural surfaces underfoot. It's why he made Wimbledon final as long as 06, but didn't make a hard court slam final till 2009.

Grass today is the fastest it's been all tournament though. Warm conditions = more speed.

Delpo started blistering his forehand more in the later sets, but it doesn't seem anywhere near as fast as when he was going well on hard. Nadal hit some screamers though.

No question there (although it was slower for most of delpot/nadal cos it was evening).

Murray match and the other early afternoon ones were really quick.

It's funny to see the drastic difference in court coverage between the two. Nadal was running all over the court, planting and hitting shots with authority, while Delpo was waddling around the court, looking like a slug, using every inch of his reach to barely get balls back in play. Really bizarre how the match was so close score wise. It just seemed like Nadal was the way better player today.

Yeah, Del Potro is not an elegant mover, but at the end of the day Nadal couldn't break him till the final set. Del Potro also completely blew the first set tiebreak, forgot how to serve, threw away a lead several times, then gave it away with a huge doublefault. Should not have lost that opener.

Very difficult to say with Rafa if the injury was genuine or not; he really likes to pose as the victim. If Delpo would have one that 1st set tiebreak probably the outcome of the match would have been different.

Nadal is a bit of a drama queen, yeah.

He wants to keep up the invincible facade, so if he does happen to lose he can claim he was injured.

I don't care how many MRIs and tests he has done. He pretended like he had a serious injury and moved just fine the rest of the match.

Nadal is a well known faker and injury timeout cheat, you'd need to be silly to belive hes genuinely injured.
