Science? There really is none if you think about it. So here is my advice for picking a women's winner for this dam thing..
Take your bracket and put it in front of your dog or cat..What ever player the dam animal points to, pick them. Fido or spot has just about a good a chance of picking the winner as you do. And they have no biases. That said here is the list from 5 dimes..

Rezai and Schnyder combined are 8-19 this year. Along with Safina, none of them have even won a SET in slams this year (Safina yet to win a single game in slam play this year!)
