Ranking's deceiving that's why I don't normally pay attention to it.
The only reason Dellacqua is ranked so low is because she missed almost a year due to injury and couldn't earn any points towards her ranking. She's been doing decently on clay since she's returned.Comment -
Thing about the WTA is the match isn't over until it's literally over. I saw Peer was down 4-2 in the second set after losing the first set 6-1. I check back and she has 3 set points now. I would absolutely hate to be on the losing end of a situation like that.Comment -

Stay away from big favs on a week before Grand Slam. Thats one thing i learned about tennis betting long time ago. Learned it the hard way too. Very weird sh1t happens in those weeks...Comment -
It's hard though because there are so many matches going on that it's easy to miss things - especially about a player that's not that well-known. Dellacqua I know quite well because she's one of the few Aussie women on the Tour and made a surprise run at the Aussie Open a couple of years ago. She went from buying her match outfits at Target to finally getting sponsors.
Plus I've backed her a few times since she's returned as she's going to continue to be a big dog until anyone gets confidence that she's overcome her injury for good. That being said, this isn't a match that Peer would be expected to lose so I see how she sucked people in.
