Isner will get smoked. He's been playing worse than usual lately. Even at his best I don't think he'd give Nadal too much trouble unless Nadal was on cruise control.

A few of these matches are going to be tough for me to pick in both the men's and women's.

Yeah, I'd definitely give him more of a chance on a hard court. He could've won that match and although Nadal was a bit of a mess at the time, that's still quite the accomplishment. For all I know Isner can take a set off him here but the way he's been playing lately, I'd be surprised. His brain seems to be at home with his PS3 and not on the court.

My meaning wasn't that I thought Nadal would lose...I was thinking that it is not a good first round because you don't get to play that much. Rallies will be shorter. Its not like opening with Juan Monaco in the first round.

I think Isner will be able to keep a set or 2 competitive if he is serving well.

Glitch - while it would definitely be easier, I didn't get approval for us to do it that way so this is it this time. Before the US Open, I might see if I can get an assurance from the Tennis Channel that it's cool for us to use their site to host our contests. If we were a much smaller forum then I could see there not being a problem and I'd be more likely to push for us to take the chance. But with the size of SBR and all of the recent mayhem in the media portraying gambling in a negative light, it's not worth it to take the risk of pissing anyone off unnecessarily at the moment.

like i said...if you are that concerned about that just create a group with a non related title...pm the entrants the link and password...then nobody would have a clue...and it isn't tennis channel that runs the tourneytopia...they use tourneytopia for their contests...totally separate entities
