Rome Survivor Style Contest

Still working up the format, but this week will encompass both WTA & ATP events in Rome. The final build-up to the French Open. Check back in later today for rules & format.

Rules & Format

1. Entry Fee is 10 SBR points. PROs must pay 10 points up front. NON-PROs must pay two points per day until their fee is paid. Anyone who does not pay their full fee will not be eligible for a prize payout.

2. For the ATP event, each participant will choose ONE player that is NOT seeded 1-4 [Nadal, Djokovic, Federer or Murray]. This will be your survivor pick for the tournament. You want to pick the player you think will go the deepest in the tournament.

3. For the WTA event, each participant will choose ONE player as their survivor pick. You can pick any player in the tournament.

Scoring

1. For each match your survivor pick wins, you net 25 points. For any match they win against a higher seeded player, you receive an additional 15 points.

2. You receive a 10 point bonus for each match your survivor pick wins in STRAIGHT SETS [2].

3. You receive a 5 point bonus for each tie break set that your player wins during the course of the tournament. You also LOSE 5 points for any tie break set they lose in the tournament.

4. If your pick makes the QUARTERFINALS [8], you receive a 25 point bonus. If your pick makes the SEMIFINALS [4], you receive a 50 point bonus. If your pick makes the FINAL, a 75 point bonus is awarded. If they WIN THE TOURNAMENT, you receive a 150 point bonus.

5. 1st tie breaker is the total amount of wins combined by your ATP & WTA picks. 2nd tie breaker if needed will be the number of combined sets dropped by your two picks. The lowest number of sets dropped will be the winner. In the event that those do not break the tie, the final tie breaker will involve picking the finals matches for the tournament.

EP out of curiosity, why points for winning tiebreaks? Isnt is bad if your player wins a tiebreak( means they were close to losing the set if it happens on clay)
