I don't even get how Dokic won that. Safarova was screwed on 3 crucial winners that were called out in the 3rd set. She should have been up 3-0.

Yea it was like smoke and mirrors. Safa dominated the first set easily. Got the break in the 2nd and was serving for the match. Then a couple of double faults. Dok won in tiebreak 10-8 i think. 3rd set Safa dominating again breaks immediately serves a clear ace for a 3-0 lead, both players know it's in and start towards the sideline but there is a late out call. Dok won the point. Then there is a real long stange double injury timeout. Then Safa plays dumb. Even though she controls and wins nearly every rally, she starts going for the quick winner, and missing most. Then some more double faults and 2 more ridiculous out calls against Safa. Every time Dok throws her hand up a late out call would follow... If they play again I'd bet my like on Safa in 2.

I studied this match enough.. I was sure she'd win in 2. Peng failing again and again on break point chances while Hradecka is nearly perfect on her few chances... We'll see who wins the match shortly, and I'll add Peng to my no-play list(if she wins) for now.

Peng is a good fighter but doesn't often close out games in SS. Bet the 2-1, overs or trade in-play but don't put her on your no-play list as there's plenty of money to be made with this one.

Hey thanks for the advise. I know Peng has a long history of 3 setters. Even against lesser opponents. Personally I thought this would be in straights cause of the last 7 matches only one went the distance(Li Na), and during that stretch she had beaten Rodionova, Vesnina, Bacsinszky, and Schiavone in staights(all of whom rank higher than Hradecka). Plus it was the 2nd match of this tournament for her and I thouht she'd roll... I cant have a European book so there is limited times of set betting and no live betting(I wish).

so maybe that's why it went 3 sets. I really think she has turned to a fighter, a totally opposite player from her early career. I agree with brandoc, don't put her on no-bet list just yet. She is still one of the most consistent WTA players in season 2011!

I do always check twitter to see if there is anything I'm missing. Especially from the players themselves if they have accounts. Didn't see anything like you were talking about. I'm not worried about the bet...it was a good day. I just get a lil mad when things don't go like I expect after I spend time studing it. No biggie. As for my no-play list well that's just a temporary thing till I can figure a player out better. Jankovik has been on it recently cause I bet on her last week to beat someone up and she did very poor with finishing the match and with break points. The next day I bet against her(ats) and she did the opposite and closed strong...
