he's got a tough match in david ferrer next....its not impossible but this will be a much tougher test.

Needs to be +300 to rate a shot I think. Ferrer is playing some incredible tennis right now. Can't say Raonic doesn't have a shot, but Youzhny showed he can be broken and I think Youzhny is maybe half the returner Ferrer is. Plus for Raonic is that much like Youzhny, Ferrer does not hold a dominant serve.

He's improved a ton. I remember him from nearly beating Fernando Gonzalez in Canada 2009, but back then the returns were useless and his movement was woeful.

The kid has impressed me with his ability to not get rattled. He is for sure not a one trick pony. I'm going to ride him till I lose..Regardless what happens I'm up units with him through 3 matches, if I lose one, so be it..
By the way Raonic is +465 at Pinny and rising!!

Raonic needs one more win to qualify for the South Africa event. Man, he has to be tired having to go through qualies again and the time zone difference from OZ to SA( 9 hours) Depending on who he plays in the first round, I might actually fading him might be worthwhile because the books are going to love him now if he plays a inferior opponent.
