is mayer that good to win 2 straight sets? or starace is just that bad?

I was going to take Mayer -4 but the score could look like 6-4 6-4 which would push so I like Mayer in 2 sets. Starace isn't that bad, I watched him all last week at the Hopman Cup, I just feel Mayer is better suited to this court and in better form.

I was leaning Troicki but a no-play for me, I can't cap the stats well enough to make a confident play.
