Valid reasons to pick either for the win, i will personally avoid picking a winner and go for the first set over 9.5 games!

just received word they were playing. Hadn't been following tennis due to life. =)

How have they each looked? What kind of surface is the match on?

^^ Federer has been playing great. He deserves to be favored and this is his surface and his tournament.

Thanks, yisman. I'm gonna go ahead and bet on Nadal at +125. Since when does that crap you mention matter when these two play? Doesn't Federerer have "Property of Nadal" tattooed on his as by now?

            No.

Nadal is 10-2 vs. Federer on clay and 4-5 vs. Federer on other surfaces.

So yes, Nadal owns Federer on clay, but then, Nadal owns everyone on clay.

I don't consider it Nadal "owning" Federer. They've been clearly the top two players in the world for five years, and that's all there is to it. Nadal on clay is almost unbeatable and everyone knows that.

Anyone want to give me Federer -120? I'd love to take it.

Add to it that Federer has been clearly superior in this tournament, and that Federer has been great at this tournament historically...

I mean, Federer steamrolled Djokovic on Saturday while Nadal was lucky to survive Murray (Murray won more games and points, outaced Nadal 22-5, was better on break points, etc,).

Nadal has played very poorly so far in this tourney and Federer has played great.

That being said, JJ is on Federer so Nadal will win. Take Nadal to the bank

                  Since when JJ matters?
I also think Nadal will win and its hard to resist the great value

Will avoid this one but leaning towards Federer. He has played much better than Nadal in this tournament

Federer has indeed been playing great and Nadal has been struggling - so the line is set quite right. However, you can never discount Nadal - he doesn't give up even if the match seems to be over. I have him down to win this tournament and even though I don't like him, I'll be rooting for him.

I ll go with Nadal. The odds for Fed" s victory are very poor.It s not worth to bet for Federer. The real odd is 50-50 i think!

Whether Nadal wins or not, this nonsense of him "owning Federer" is getting tiresome.

If he owns Federer, why is he below .500 in his career vs. Federer on surfaces aside from clay?

Since this is not on clay, there's no "owning Federer".

If this were on clay, you'd of course see Rafa as a solid favorite.
