    Sun 11/21 9:00AM
All Players Have ActionRoger Federer +245Rafael Nadal +285Novak Djokovic +515Andy Murray +600Robin Soderling +975Andy Roddick +2400Tomas Berdych +3800David Ferrer +4500
What do you tennis pros think?

I know that this is most likely wasting money...But Ferrer has played decent vs the other 2 in this group(but not FED 0-15...)..Go 2-1 and squeeze into the semis??

Nadal is a given to make the semis with crap form Berdych and ditto roddick..How can you not take nadal? He has saved himself for this and has won just about everything else but this...Only concern is that he might be rusty early...

I like Nadal for the reasons to just stated. His group is awful. He will get to the semis and then u can work from there. I am sure 5dimes will have some props up

First glance, Roddick is better long shot odds to me. If I read somewhere right, he is 5-0 in matches this year vs. the others in his group and might be playing better than anyone in his group.

Is Nadal injured at all? I thought something was bothering him. I still like his chances along with Federer and possibly Djokovic. Definitely don't like Roddick though. Guy is nothing but a choker. I'm a huge Ferrer fan but he never wins a big tournament against the big name guys he will be facing.

Nadal is carrying tendinitis in his left shoulder. He sounds like he really wants this title to finish off the year though from what I read.

Great find on that stat...With Nadal's Tendinitis I wonder if playing roddick in the first round might be worth a go.? My gut says that Rafa will be a bit rusty early on then smoke everyone..

yeah I guess if Rafa loses to Roddick in the first round you could get better odds on him to win the event. I am pretty sure 5dimes will post updated lines on the tournament daily

Just stats on Ferrer that should have you running in the other direction. Found this in a little preview somewhere:

                  Ferrer vs Nadal: 3-11
                  Ferrer vs Federer: 0-10
                  Ferrer vs Djokovic: 4-5
                  Ferrer vs Soderling: 4-8
                  Ferrer vs Murray: 3-1
                  Ferrer vs Berdych: 5-2
                  Ferrer vs Roddick: 4-3

Not sure. This one is really up-in-the-air this year because of how everyone has played down the stretch since the US Open. There is definitely not one guy that you can say ... yeah, for sure, he's going to win. My breakdown right now as I am still thinking:

                      Nadal
Taking time to rest was wise, but even without tendinitis he was not playing well post-US Open. Pluses for him are motivation because he was swept out of the Round Robin last year. Minuses are health and form.

                      Djokovic
Up until his choke in Paris, I would have been firmly on board and still think he has been the most consistent of the guys who will play here in the post-US Open tourneys. He played well at last year's event even though he did not make it out of the Round Robin at 2-1. Pluses are form for the most part and he's beaten Rafa on this surface a few times. Minuses are Andy Roddick being in this group because Roddick owns him.

                      Berdych
Guy is pretty much an afterthought in this group. Has no form. First time in this setting. If he wins a match in the Round Robin, it would be an accomplishment.

                      Roddick
I think he pushed hard to get here and outside of Rafa I think is the guy who I don't question in the passion department right now because of how hard he played to get here. Pluses are the surface and a solid record against guys in his group and in this tournament. Minuses are that while I think he could make it out of his group, his last two losses came to Federer and Soderling so he would need help potentially to go any further.

                      --------------------
                      Federer
Outside of the tough loss to Monfils, Federer was in great form with two titles after the US Open. For me, he is the one to beat. If Andy Murray was in better form, I'd say it worried me a little that he has both Murray and Soderling here. But I think Murray can't be counted on from match to match. Soderling would be the one I'd worry about, but Roger has beaten him handily in the last couple of months.

                      Murray
A definite wild card because if he plays like he did in Shanghai, he could win the whole thing. Thing is he hasn't played consistent tennis since and I think Federer and Soderling are better than him right now on this surface. He does have that thing with Fed though, so if he scored an upset win over Soderling to start he could find some momentum.

                      Soderling
Carries good form into this and if Federer had not whipped him the last two times they played, I'd have already booked him in the futures.

                      Ferrer
The afterthought of this group although he does carry good form. Still would rate him the least likely to get through here.

Good thing is Roddick is a dog to Nadal, and will be a slight dog or fav vs novak and berdych..Great value to bet him every match with almost no juice needed..

Another thing Ep, is that the Roddick match is the last and I think alot of folks might chase Nadal if they are down from the weekend..Andy already up to +225 in some markets..Might want to wait if we want to play it..

I like Nadal in this. Surprising he's not the top favourite.

Nadal looks good, but who's got enough left in the tank takes this one.
