Have you seen Verdasco lately? He is playing atrocious while Monfils is in great form. Don't buy into the whole Monfils saving himself for the Davis Cup excuse either as he made it very obvious in his last match that he is playing to win.
Verdasco also has a lot of pressure on him to perform well enough to make it to London. It goes without saying that Verdasco+Pressure is an AWFUL combination.
Imo the line is very close to where I would of thought it would be.

Has Denko been playing well lately to be considered such a good favorite??
Or has Tomas been playing poorly?

I personally am not playing that match, but if recent form is going to indicate this one then you'd have to take Davydenko although Berdych in my opinion is the better player.

Berdych is playing terrible lately and I think him being a dog is a bit of a trap. Davydenko (as much as I hate him) has actually been playing quite well at the end of the season but who knows what you could get.
This game is a complete stay away for me. If you are not interested in laying chalk / playing the game lines, then the Melzer/Ferrer match might be a good one to bet on. I am leaning Melzer myself as Ferrer really has nothing to play for if Verdasco loses to Monfils.
I will be playing Melzer if Verdasco loses to Monfils. I do like the Melzer play regardless but I am going to wait until the result of the Verdasco game to decide how much I will put on the match.

Excellent post Pride. This is why I won't touch this match. Too many variables to consider and does stink of a trap.

I'm going to go crazy and get on Nando.
Monfils should never be those odds against a top 20 player, EVER.

Verdasco is not even playing like a top 100 player right now. Monfils is in terrific form.

Good luck! At that price it's hard to pass up the value. All he has to do is get Monfils thinking and frustrated and it's Verdasco's to win. I sense a 3 setter here and it could go either way. Monfils homecourt is huge though.

Until he proves to me consistency, I will gladly oppose him at -250.
I'm riding the Nando express train.

I'm not saying he is, no need to raise the ol' eyebrows fella
It's purely a value bet.

Monfils has been very consistent since the US Open.
Problem now is he's getting tired, minor niggles like the knee popping up.

If Verdasco takes this first tie-break then
MONFILS TO WIN SET 2 is the play !

Monfils doesn't deserve to win this match after being up a break in the 1st set and then losing it.

I wasn't aware that being broken back means you don't deserve to win a match. I am guessing you are on Monfils?
