Controversially though, as it was in, but over ruled by the umpire (i think) and Melzer had no more challenges.

But i'll take that, as I have AHD to win outright and had him for the 1st set.

I must admit I was a square and went with melzer, I never liked maurer as a tennis player, its amazing how some players overperform on home soil, he has been amazing the whole tournament but I thought melzer would manage to defend his title

Poor mauer. a career challenger player, most likely his only chance ever to win an ATP event. biggest paycheck ever and crapton of rankings points still. X-mas comes early
