I don't think so. I watched him, he was dying out there in 5th set. It's 5th set of course he is tired, but look at the unforced errors: Federer had almost double. Nadal finished his semifinal with 3-0 win, so he is well rested. Aiming for his win in US Open, and this is his best chance to win it.

Rain might help though, give him a break in-play, or even push the final to Monday.

Were Nadal's last three defeats to Djoker on HC too? Apparently, Nadal wasn't at 100% during each of those last three matches; always tending to a health problem. In any case, not so sure why everyone's pounding that statistic (which imo isn't a good forecasting indicator of the championship results). On Nadal big, and I believe he'll pull a 3-0 or 3-1 win tomorrow. I highly doubt it'll go to a 5th set, but this is tennis...what do i know

Extra day will help Djokovic compete, but I am still having a hard time going against Nadal here. Still thinking, but I think this is like Fed's French Open last year - opportunity has given Nadal his best and maybe only shot at the US Open this year. Hard to see him blowing it.

Maybe only shot? Highly unlikely.

Fed's situation last year was very different than this one for Nadal.

I don't know yis ... my personal opinion is that the Australian & US Open will always be the toughest tournaments for Nadal to continually have a shot to win because they are tailor made for the big hitting Fs who can't compete on other surfaces. Not meaning that he won't be in the mix, but that he'll have the toughest time getting to the finals in those two IMO each year.

IMO, he'll be in the mix for the US Open for at least a few more years as long as he's healthy.

For Federer, it was his only shot because Federer can't beat a healthy Nadal on clay.

For Nadal, it's far from his only shot. There is no "Nadal" for him, that he can't beat, and he's not past his prime (or at the very least, at the end of his prime) like Federer was.

I am thinking of betting on Nadal. Too much quickness and power. It's a really really heavy line. And certainly Djokovic has a chance. It just seems like the clear advantage is for Nadal.

Djokovic is the better hardcourt player, period. Nadal's fatigue advantage is gone...the line dropped substantially once the match was postponed. Nadal is on a mission but really has met opponents who have self destructed or got completely frustrated and threw their matches away. Most, if not all, had terrible records against him on any surface and doubted their chances from the start. Djokovic truly knows and belives he can beat Nadal on hard and certainly has sufficient slam experience under his belt. The fact that Nadal is favored just as heavily, if not more heavily on hard than when these 2 played on clay is preposterous.
