I'd have to agree with dlweaver, tipsa looked damn near impossible to stop he was all over the court.

There's a reason Tipsarevic hasn't gone deep in Slams though, consistency. Like Roddick said post match, Tipsy just unloaded every shot and hit all his spots. If he can do it two straight matches against good opponents, then kudos. Monfils will trouble him more though because he can move unlike what Roddick showed. I know older head-2-head stats don't often mean anything, but it is interesting to note Tipsarevic beat him twice on Monfils' best surface.

This match is a total toss-up.

I never go WITH Monfils, way too emotinal player, that has trouble turning games when falling behind.

Summed it up pretty well. If Tipsarevic plays to his best he will win but he has trouble delivering.

Tips does like to play the Monfils types, cos he can get his feet in place easily to unload every shot, not much pressure on his defensive game. He's no Davydenko in terms of his ability to take shots from a defensive position and attack with them.

At current price though, no thanks. Tips has never been Mr Consistent, and Monfils was very solid last.

Tipsarevic I am convinced doesn't want to win today. He is giving up on points and Monoflis is going sfter every shot. Also this jerk couldnt hit the ball over the net on a drop shot if the net was the size of a ping pong table net. It will be a miracle if he can win this match. Really hope Monoflis chokes like he is so famous for.

I want to bet on this match but I can't do it. Monflis is a known choker and has head problems while Tipsarevic is all hustle. He doesn't hit his spots like he did against roddick then he is done.

Wow I can't believe nobody liked Monfils untill after the match. I thought he was basically a lock against a lower level player who has a good match every once in a while. People were way to over hyped about the Roddick win for Janko.
