The Cheetahs Tennis Plays

Little time to post but thanks to the fine members of this forum had been making a good winning week off the US Open - that is until I gave it all back yesterday on Gasquet and Sharapova.

Today is a big day of betting and I like four plays:

TUESDAYS PLAYS

10 UNITS: Youzhny/Williams (parlay) @ -102
Can't see either player losing in their current form and Venus in particular seems to be a woman ready to give her all to win this tournament

5 UNITS: Venus Williams @ -208
Yes this is very high juice, which is usually to be avoided but Schiavone is just not the same player on Hard courts as on Clay as her 10-6 results this year show. With the home crowd support Venus should be unbeatable here

5 UNITS: Verdasco -2 @ -120
Yes Nalbandian was tired last match but he has been a hot player, and Verdasco was aggressive and simply outplayed him. Look for that to continue against Ferrer who lost in the first and third round in his last two hard court tournaments and only has a 11-7 record this year

2.5 UNITS: Querrey @ -120
This is a home court bet on someone who I would otherwise bet against given Wawrinka's form and dismantling of Murray. I see a 5 set match here but with Querrey coming through in a tight one.

Winner winner chicken dinner! Some nights you just feel you are going to win big and this was one of them, even if Verdasco really had to fight hard.

+17UNITS on the night and could have been a sweep if Querrey had broken again late in the 4th to be serving first in the 5th - was the crucial point of the game IMO.

Will be back with todays picks in 5-6 hours time.

Not much I like today, I think all the favourites roll, with the closest game being the Monfils one. Federer is a man on fire this tournament and I can't see him losing to Soderling.

TUESDAYS PLAYS

2 UNITS: Djokovic/Federer/Zvonereva parlay @ +102
I essentially see this as a +102 play on Djokovic which is the right odds to make a play.

A much easier win on the parlay today than expected! Fed was on fire, hard to see anyone stopping him in this slam. I have a future on Nadal but I really can't see him beating Fed this time around.

Most likely no plays for me today, I think Youzhny vs Wawrinka is a coin flip and may play the over but that will be all. Am definitely looking at a big play on Williams though and may even lock in odds soon as I expect them to drop.

Yes, I'm locking it in now, currently Williams is +175 at Pinnacle which I think is very good odds given how well Williams has been playing and that this is her home turf.

Verdasco has a great chance to at least take one set, and if not can keep the sets tight to have a chance of winning in 3.

Yes Verdasco had his chance in the 1st set then right royally got outplayed from then on in. I'm still liking the Williams play today, I just think Venus will feel this is one of her last chances to take home her home open and will give it her all.

I have a future on Zvonerava so will be cheering her on but leaving that match alone. The value is cleary with Zvon though at those odds - Woz should no way be a -360 favourite.

One other bet placed today, Federer to remain unbeatable in this tournament.

FUTURE PLAY
5 UNITS: Federer to win US Open @ +132

Disappointing end to the US Open with Federer being knocked out like he did - going from being up about 16.5 Units to down to around 7.5. Still will take that any day, and I successfully tailed quite a few other plays on the board - thanks Goat and Excellence in particular.

Have looked at today's challenger plays and like one in particular:

With Lucic beating Molik and pushing Jankovic in the second round, and Cirstea with a 5-10 hardcourt record and being thrased in the US Open first round, I'm playing with the form player here.

0-6 6-1 6-1 win of Lucic, LOL, god I love the WTA sometimes. Good luck with the Camerin play ramink, I think both of them suck about as equally and feel it's a bit of a crapshoot.

WEDNESDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER

2 UNITS: Goerges @ -116
If you look at the Goerges hardcourt record she has had Wickmayer and Wozniacki as her two bogey women this year - but hardly bad quality to be losing to. She took a set off Wozniacki at the Sony Ericsson Open, and has been in great form of late. Mattek-sands can play against anyone on her day and took Klijsters to 3 sets at the Rogers Cup, but I think Goerges is the better player here and takes it today.
