Sam Querrey is a lock

Careful, Querrey has mentioned lately how he's become a little disillusioned that 250 events do nothing for his ranking. When he completes his 500 section (Beijing or tokyo, then basel or valencia), he'll only have room for two 250s ...... and he already has wins at Queens and Belgrade which don't expire till may/june 2011.

In other words: nothing really to play for. He's not the type to tank, but at the same time perhaps he's not in full blast training either, and might not fight too hard if he goes behind. Poor returns also, and Brown has a gigantic cannon serve so could easily get to tiebreaks.

If you pay this price on a single match, you'll get what you deserve - more risk than reward even if Querrey wins.

I get PMed often asking how I cap tennis. The first thing I tell anyone is learn the point system and how it works and how guys defend points. Motivation is everything for players. This tournament means nothing to Querrey rankings wise. It means the world to Brown.

I was wondering why this seemed familiar - it's almost identical to a post at another site from a few hours ago. Are you the person who wrote it (making you one of the Mods there)?

Brown is one of the worst returners on tour. I watched the entire match as well. No excuse for Querrey dropping serve 3 times and not saving a break point. Break points show you how much a guy wants to fight for the win. Did you see Querrey's body language?
