Noober, I am the Queen of always telling people not to bet on heavy favourites. There is a reason I'm saying it now.

The line itself will probably be unplayable for most, but I will be on it. And you could always stick him in a parlay or play the 3-0 as I said.

It doesn't matter how low the line is, this one is as guaranteed as can be in tennis. Even take the 3-0 if you want a better price. You'll be laying a lot of chalk but it will be worth it.

Yes, I got really unlucky with who he drew in the first round. I was really hoping it would be some no-namer so I'd have the chance to get decent odds on his opponent. But either way, my bets are in on this one.

I know will and thank you for your kind words.

As anyone who's peeked in my thread knows, I don't play big favourites. And if I ever were to play one, it sure wouldn't be the Frenchie unless there was a reason for it. In fact, I rarely play favourites at all - I much prefer doing the research and going with value plays on dogs, especially when I feel the lines are off.

In this case though, there's a method to my madness. I don't expect most people to understand it but instead of just discussing it with a few of my buddies via PM, I thought I'd put it out there instead. Best of luck!!

I should've said - "I don't POST bigger favourites". There are times I will play a bigger fave but there are other cappers who post those plays so those who tail will still see them. I just personally don't feel comfortable encouraging anyone to lay big money because I'd feel gutted if one of them lost. Especially in the first round.

I wanted to get decent odds on his opponent - have Vliegen play someone who would be a -200 favourite or better for example. I am definitely on Benneteau all the way as the thread title says.

I changed my game plan and took a 10 player parlay of major chalk---so far 6 have won but I tailed here--hopefully Benneteau gets it together---so far, down a set and a game but it's still early

I'll tell you this: If Benneteau somehow manages to give Vliegen this match out of every match he's ever played in his life, he should retire immediately and hide in a cave. He has never been given a bigger gift than this one and if he blows it, he's worthless.

With that being said, it's a 5 setter so I'm not that concerned yet.

I agree Shari--5 setter--I wish that he came out stronger early but I need him to win,he's the better player,and hopefully his confidence will gain during the match-so far it's been a struggle----my fingers are crossed
