Why is nadal -300 against federer?

Cappin: I happen to agree and I am dropping a little wager on the Fed.

Any time you can get +anything with Fed you take it in my opinion.

I use the same methodology with the Yankees.

Small wager but nonetheless a wager on my main man Fed.

If you want to play it safe you can play the first set only.

Because this is where it will be decided.

If Fed takes the first set it is pretty much a sure thing in my opinion.

nadal is the king of clay , boss. i would love to lay that price with fed any day , but not against nadal , i will prolly lay off this match and just enjoy it , i am a fed fan , but his better work has been done on grass and hard surface , gl on your plays

The fact that it is in Madrid is giving Nadal the edge and I think it will be an insane match.

But in the end I feel Fed wins.

I think 3 sets/Over are the plays. Really don't see either of them going in straight sets.

I really didn't think the line would be so high on Nadal.
Roger won last year in straight set 6-4 6-4. This surface is the fastest of the clay court period and it gives the advantage to Fed even though it's still clay.
Given the odds, I must play Roger because I'm sure he can win today

and because fed has lost to some dodgy characters the last few weeks, if he cant beat montane, gulbis and baghdatis, how is he gonna beat nadal

Nadal is best clay player ever. As seen from Federer perfromance yesterday and whole tournament he takes this tournament serious. Thats why i think Federer will fight here for the win, otherwise he will be out on 1/4finals. So thats sure. Still questionable is Federers power and if it was on another surface i would have haken Federer eventually/i said yesterday i would never go on Federer, but as said he takes it serious/ but going vs Nadal on clay is hard.
I also think or though actually over is smartest play here. Because Federer can take one set for sure, and if he gets broken and Nadal eventually hold he would throw it for sure. So 3 setter or over is 70% bet here.
But lets have a look on Nadals performance. Nadal lost a set vs Almagro, that is a bit surprising. Beside that he canceled Stutgart 2 weeks ago mentioning hes tired and had some problems after amazing performance in Rome where losing only 17 games vs 6 oponents! So he might not be in top form. Well still this is Nadal and this is clay. But one of the few loses and actually last game between Nadal and Federer was last year here in Madrid and Federer won 6-4 6-4. So beware Federer might take a 2-0 win here. Of corse might lose 0-2 and be smashed.
What i want to say: seems like instead of over its better to take Federer +1.5 sets becose:
1. Nadal not in top form
2. Last meeting between them was here last year and Federer won
3. Federer takes it serious

So Federer +1.5 sets 7/10 or lay Nadal 2-0
