Monfils has lots of talent but is a quitter and mainly a front runner. I would stay away from him.

Agree with all of them, Monfils as a favorite, no good. Huge talent, mentally very fragile.

If you could gauge fitness/health in a match and two games of another match before his opponent retired, it's not a bad play ... but I don't think anyone truthfully knows whether or not Monfils is 100% until he plays a couple full matches. After today, we should know more.

yeah, pretty shaky, but he's an excellent player when he's healthy and up for a solid match mentally.
