                Hey DE,

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you until now, been hectic the past few days for me. I was a little confused because it showed the doubles match in your ticket as being played on the Monday the 12th but its in fact Tuesday the 13th so I'm not too late to answer your question.

I don't play doubles often, actually should say I rarely play them if at all, but will say this, you got 2 decent clayers in Suárez Navarro and Garrigues but I would have some worry in the fatigue factor for Navarro coming off a long week last week and playing right before this doubles match (it does state suitable rest but still playing B2B has to take a little out of you). Here's the order of play below:

                Tuesday, April 13, 2010

                Centre (from 10.00hrs)
                1. Andrea Petkovic vs. María José Martínez Sánchez
                2. Stefanie Voegele vs. Arantxa Parra Santonja (tbc)
                3. Anabel Medina Garrigues vs. Yaroslava Shvedova
                4. Francesca Schiavone vs. Alberta Brianti
                5. Simona Halep vs. Carla Suárez Navarro
                6. Medina Garrigues/Suárez Navarro vs. Daniilidou/Woehr (after suitable rest)

Daniildou is 3-5 on the year in doubles however she has lost her last 4 in doubles and only last week's tourney was on clay surface, which her and her teammate lost in 3 sets.

Woehr is 3-7 this year in doubles, 3-5 past 8 with Daniildou as her partner and obviously same as above loseing 4 straight and only last week being on clay.

Garrigues is just 2-7 this year in doubles and 0-1 on the clay in doubles. In addition she is 0-2 with Carla as her partner, 1 on hard back in Jan. and last week on clay.

Carla is 0-3 on clay this year, with a 0-2 mark with Garrigues as her partner, same as above - 1 on hard in Jan and 1 last week on clay.

The opponents these 2 have faced have not been that difficult as well so that raises some concern.

With all that said, I thought at first look with the 2 brand name, ladies from Spain that this would be an automatic no hedge but after digging into the stats I don't really like what I see much. In addition throw in the possibility of Carla being fatigued from a long last week and playing just prior to this much, I'm really concerned now.

Like I said, I don't play doubles but I have put out all the info for you above and I take out of it that even though the 2 Spainards are rated higher and playing at home, there are still many questions and they have not looked good in any way this year in the doubles ring.

Good luck in your decision, but I would hedge a little, just my opinion.

Thank you very much for all your time to analyze this play for me. Price for Medina Garrigues/Suárez Navarro went up to -400 (I booked -335 yesterday), so it help me out more in term of hedging. Just drop .75 on Daniilidou/Woehr just in case they upset the match, and I don't have to worry about who wins because I get my money either way.
                  Thank you so much Ice.
