    RogueCakes' ATP/WTA Indian Wells Thread
Figured it's time to get this bad boy up and running. The field currently includes Federer, Nadal, Murray, Clijsters, Sharapova, and recent wildcard Justine Henin. Notoriously absent are the Williams sisters, who remain butthurt to this day over racist remarks from Indian Wells fans at the 2001 event. She had it coming by withdrawing five minutes before playing a semi-final against Clijsters and basically stiffed all the ticket holders for the match which were non-refundable.

Beyond that, I haven't heard a whole lot. This tournament is really great though, a two week affair that brings together both tours, it's really the US Open of the West Coast. Any information you guys can contribute will be most appreciated.

Looking forward to this tournament. ATP players have a little hiatus till March 10th when this tournament starts. Still to early to debate futures so will wait till the draw comes out.

Clijsters looked a little sloppy tonight in the exhibition match against Venus. Not sure if that's because there was nothing on the line, but it'll stick in the back of my head. I'm not sure if she's gonna bring her A-game to anything but the Slams anymore.

Highly interesting tournament with a unique playing environment: ultra slow surface, but in the daytime heat with desert low humidity it's fast through the air.
